READING COMPREHENSION CAN BE TRICKY
The Keynote Session, The Learning Difficulties of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Dyslexia, will be followed by breakout sessions, each with a leader focusing on a different aspect: speech/language, educators, parents, and physicians/psychologists.
Keynote speaker, Peter Mundy, Ph.D., is professor at UC Davis School of Education and the M.I.N.D. Institute, UC Davis. His talk, The Learning Difficulties of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Dyslexia will focus on reading comprehension issues for students with Autism and Dyslexia.
Breakout session leaders are Ruth Bass (for educators), Dr. David Monkarsh (for parents), Dr. Judy Montgomery (for speech/language pathologists), and Dr. Peter Mundy (for physicians & psychologists). These will be for further discussion on Dr. Mundy’s talk.
