Webinar: What is Structured Literacy and IMSE’s Orton-Gillingham Approach

This webinar, “What is Structured Literacy and IMSE’s Orton-Gillingham Approach” will take the participants through a journey of what Structured Literacy is. They will also explore how IMSE’s Orton-Gillingham approach serves all TIER levels of instruction. Strategies will be provided for teachers, tutors or parents to use in their classrooms with small groups or one-on-one instruction.

SPEAKER: Amy Gulley is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), IDA Certified Dyslexia Specialist (CDS) and Level 5 Master Instructor with the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). She has her Master’s in Literacy and Curriculum from the University of Texas- Arlington and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Texas.
She was a Dyslexia therapist for a large public school system in Texas for 10 years before working for IMSE. Ms. Gulley has been working with IMSE since 2015 training teachers, tutors, administrators, and parents in the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching reading. She is currently the Dyslexia specialist and Level 5 instructor for IMSE as well as mentoring educators going through the IMSE practicum to be certified in OG.
She has presented at various literacy conferences including the IDA 2020 Virtual conference, Dallas-Ft. Worth Adult Literacy conference, Montana literacy conference, Palo Alto parent information conference and others.
